Nope, I didn't miss it. I'm here to tell you that nothing will come of it. Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski disapproved of Carter's trip to Moscow initially, and then approved the trip under the condition that the trip was 1) not a campaign trip, and 2) Carter did not under any circumstances speak for the Trump campaign or assert that he was speaking on behalf of Trump. That layer of review and approval will be the firewall against Trump. The plausible deniability has been established. Carter Page will have to account for his own actions if there was anything illegal about his communications to/with Moscow.
That doesn't un-ring the bell that someone from Trump's own campaign staff was shady enough to justify a FISA warrant, even if no charges are ever brought. You claimed: "The whole Trump/Putin collusion narrative is collapsing as we speak.". This report is doing the exact opposite of helping the narrative to collapse. This is the most damning thing to come to light on that topic, quite honestly.
It's simply another thing in a long list of connections between Trump's organization and Russia and it's not good.

Who knows, but it amazes me how wrong Trump and his supporters were about Putin. He allowed Putin to puppet-master him, he jumped in bed with him, and showered his with praise and insisted we must team up with Russia. He thought teaming up was the best idea ever. People around the world shook their head in disbelief. In the meanwhile his supporters, including the ones here, used every argument to defend the Putin-Trump political romance and said working close with Russia was a great idea. They celebrated the relationship.
What are they saying now? They pretend to celebrate the collapse of that relationship, and that Putin flipping Trump the finger means the romance never existed.
'Putin refuses to meet with Secretary of State' was the op's wrong claim. That Putin is angry is true. The issues discussed in the thread are real.
Everyone who yammered for months about puppet Trump taking orders from puppet master Putin are now twisting like pretzels to explain the missile attack.
No such thing happened. The decision to retire the Shuttle predated Obama's presidency and it was known all along that there would be a year-long gap. The planned replacement was a pork-barrel POS that needed to be dropped, and it was. Try to be honest, eh? It feels good.
You know how it is for some people. If their dog has fleas or their roof leaks or their tennis game is lousy, it must be Obama's fault.
We've been saying all along, that Putin has been playing him. Exploiting his lap-dog/puppet mentality. Now that Trump tried to excerpt any independence, Putin is understandably pissed, and they honeymoon is over.
What is so hard to understand: Putin wanted Trump as president, because he is so easily manipulated by stroking his hungry ego. Trump played into Putin's hands. Now that Trump fired on Syria, Putin has backed him into a corner: Either you lay down, or we'll respond militarily. He backed his 'threat' up by showing Sec.State Tillerson the cold shoulder.
Trump is now in an unenviable position (of his own doing). Does he roll over, and appear weak to the world and to the US, or does he stand up, and pull us into direct conflict with Russia?
Seems to me that Obama's strategy of "actually thinking things through", getting things done slowly and methodically, and avoiding WWIII was not so bad after all...
It is all a game on Trump's part, and Putin is disappointed that Trump is not doing the things he wanted him to do.
Depends on what game Putin is playing, and what outcome he wants. According to Trump Putin is a brilliant chess player, which would mean everyone else, including Trump, are pawns on his chess board.
Tillerson apparently ditched his press corps, so we'll only get to hear about the meeting via RT. Interesting.
