Hahahahahaha @ the lying liberal media. Next up: CNN.
The Daily Mail is indeed an unreliable tabloid rag. Just like the National Enquirer. As this llberal never refrains from mentioning whenever the OP brings it up as a source.
I'm glad this happened. Now whenever some Trump supporter uses the Mail as an authority, I can use this as an example of why they shouldn't.

But there are dumb people out there who will believe anything.
$3 million, including legal costs and damages is nothing to the Daily Mail, the group it belongs to probably makes more than all the money Trump has in a few short years.
As for being Liberal, the Daily Mail doesn't just have a history of right wing conservatism, it actuallty leant support to fascism in the 1930's.
Lord Rothermere (the Daily Mail's owner) was a friend of Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler, and directed the Mail's editorial stance towards them in the early 1930. Rothermere's 1933 leader "Youth Triumphant" praised the new Nazi regime's accomplishments, and was subsequently used as propaganda by them. Rothermere and the Mail were also editorially sympathetic to Oswald Mosley and the British Union of Fascists known as the 'Blackshirts'. Rothermere even wrote an article titled "Hurrah for the Blackshirts" in January 1934, praising Mosley for his "sound, commonsense, Conservative doctrine.
The current owner of the Daily Mail is Jonathan Harold Esmond Vere Harmsworth, the 4th Viscount Rothermere who inherited the newspaper and media empire.
