"Their" desires? You think they just up and decided on their own they just had to be in Louisville RIGHT NOW?

Here's a hint: they weren't boarding that flight because they just felt like it. They were ORDERED to by the same people you think should fire them.

The law has to change.
They can make priorities BEFORE boarding, but after passengers are in their seats already, they should have the highest priority.

If you feel the Gov is not working for you. forget R or D and focus on how to end LOBBYING. how to get the money out of elections. and perhaps single transferable votes.

Lobbying and money are the root of almost every single problem in the USA. From airlines treating you like junk, to paying twice as much to sell a house as almost any other nation. to the price of cable , ISP ,cells, Drugs etc.

Lobbyists write the bills, stuff them into the hands of Dems, Republicans all day every day. BOTH parties are in it.

End lobbying and donations that bind, politicians and you will find we can solve a lot of issues .
Can't rep this post enough.

Chartering an aircraft is very expensive. Easier to inconvenience one of the cattle in the cabin.
i am sure the jump seats were full, they almost always are on full flights. if not that is just crazy.

Lobbying is illegal in many countries (at least in theory).

You may have said that a million times, but I only have to say this once:

You can get rid of lobbying the very minute you are ready to sh*tcan about 40% of the First Amendment. The parts you need to get rid of in order to eliminate lobbying appear in bold text below:

Now, if you're ready to give up your own freedom of speech as well as your right to petition your government for redress of grievances so that others you refer to as "lobbyists" will be forced to forfeit their similar rights, then perhaps you should start some kind of movement that can make this new repressive, authoritarian regime you seek a reality.

I can't imagine you would gain many new recruits from that group who has actually thought about the First Amendment implications of your proposal, however.

No they are never full. If the captain doesn't want the jump seats occupied, they remain empty. They are ordinarily never used unless a check ride is occurring.

Flying isn't a right, so they aren't taking anything away from you.
Several high paid attorneys disagree with your assessment. Once you are BOARDED and on the plane - you DO have rights and UA has already figured that one out.

Stop thinking you don't have rights ~ why do you want to be treated like crap?

They do. It's one thing to stop a customer prior to boarding and quite another once the passenger has been seated and boarded.

Which is why UA is crapping their pants this morning.

.
True.

And why would anyone think people who fly on airplanes have no legal rights anyway?
