Wel few days later and now Chinese media is openly mocking Trump's flip on Currency manipulation...
Trump has in just a few months become the butt of the joke in China. Trump's shouty protestations and unforced walk backs has made him look the fool in China.
Even before Trump became POTUS, he was making a fool of himself to the chinese.
"One China"... Trump made a fool of himself and had to publicly walk it back Chinese media loved it.
"missile strike" widely mocked in China as "weak" leader trying to look strong.
"Currency Manipulation" a huge part of Trump's "art of the deal" "MAGA" bs, Trump has the Chinese in stitches laughing at him.

Te-Ping Chen, a Beijing-based reporter for the Wall Street Journal, notes that Chinese media are gleefully mocking Trump for doing such an abrupt 180 on an issue that was one of the staples of his 2016 presidential campaign — in fact, Trump had originally vowed to officially label China a currency manipulator on the first day of his presidency.
“Eating his words!” reads one headline, as translated by Chen.
“Trump slaps self in face, again,” reads another.

Crazy stuff. Just about a month ago Trump was still banging on with his "china currency" boogeyman story..
here we see Trump still at it last week of Feb...
notice Just a week ago, Trump is publicly scolded by high fiance talking heads...
Quote:
That may have been true in the past, but despite plenty of evidence that it's no longer a fair criticism, Trump won't let the issue drop. This week he labeled China "world champions" of currency devaluation in an interview with the Financial Times"....
"The accusation that China is manipulating its currency in order to gain an unfair advantage for its exports is not supported by economic facts," said Eswar Prasad, a trade professor at Cornell University.
