One good thing about Trump for me was that unlike the last several Republican administrations (and a theoretical HRC administration), he was not a war hawk. However, now "America First" has morphed into "we are able and willing to send Americans to die to protect other countries". He's completely duped the people who voted for him.

I mean, I thought all along he would be MORE than willing to play with the war toys and our military.

What part of 'bomb the shyte out of them' did you miss? Or 'take out their families"?

Trump said on the campaign trail in October he would stay out of Syria. 6 months later, he bombed Syria.

Trump has flip-flopped om quite a few major issues. Trump supporters try to spin Trump's flip-flooping as "flexible."

However, TRUST AND BELIEVE, if Obama was flip flipping on major issues as president just 6 months after his campaign promises said he'd do something else, conservatives would be going BONKERS

At least Hillary, the low-stamina war monger, didn't get elected! She would've hired wall street folk and big bankers. She had ties with foreign governments, was under investigation by the FBI. Surely she would've went to war in the first 100 days!

You're aware that 13 of Trump's cabinet members are billionaires, right?

And Trump is under investigation by the FBI...right?

He likes to win.

So he said what his base wanted to hear during the primaries and election. He won.

He tried continue that same strategy after he won. But it really wasn't working that well. So he started to move away from Bannon and the like and toward Kushner, McMasters and the like. The chemical attacks in Syria helped speed that up quite a bit. And look. He received bipartisan praise for his actions. So in the short term he won something. Also I think more moderates on both side of the isle are feeling better about this administration at this point. So perhaps if he continues down this path it may be a longer term win for him (with foreign policy) with the center.

We'll see.

I've consistently said that if Trump continues moving to the center, and especially if he drops the hardline rhetoric about minorities and immigrants (both legal and illegal) he has the potential to become a good president.

Unfortunately that would require that he get rid of Bannon, Sessions, Miller, Gorka, etc which I don't think is happening.
