Associated Press The response filed by Trump contradicts the argument of a co-defendant, a Trump supporter accused of shoving a young black woman at the rally. WDRB-TV reported (http://bit.ly/2oed0Tu ) that 75-year-old Alvin Bamberger said he was only following Trump's directions when he helped remove her.
Bamberger filed a countersuit in U.S. District Court on Friday, saying "he would not have acted as he did without" Trump's "urging and inspiration."
Bamberger also cited other Trump rallies, saying Trump and his campaign "repeatedly urged people attending" the rallies to "remove individuals who were voicing opposition to Trumps candidacy" and promised to pay the legal fees of those who removed protesters. Trump claims immunity as president from protesters' lawsuit
The despicable P
OS, ran his entire profanity-filled campaign on racism, hate and fearmongering! LOCK HIM UP!

He was not president when he told his supporters to be violent.
Wonder why he bothered to settle the trump U lawsuit - after all, now that he is prez nothing he did before becoming prez can be held against him, right? It is the trumpisst way!
OH, sure...that's been the answer to everything his entire life. Why not add to the nearly 5000 lawsuits he has going already? What an effing joke...the guy has never accepted responsibilty for a thing and is a bully. I am SO appalled that someone like this even exists, having negatively affected others and demanding attention, etc., not to mention having gotten into a positon of power! Send him back to being in his tower or hopefully to prison, but him pretending to be President needs to end.
This one might get a little sticky for Trump. We have him on tape, telling his cult to beat the Hell out of people, punch them in the mouth, and that he would pay their legal fees. Ok, they did it, now how about paying their legal fees ?
I had a Dr. appointment the other day, and we started talking about healthcare, and that, of course, prompted me to ask how she felt about Trump. She said "He scares the Hell out of me!" She said she grew up in Queens, NY, and has known about Trump all her life. She said he made his money by being a slum lord and then he would bring the people who did work for him into a room and tell them he was not going to pay them, and if they didn't like it, he would simply let his Attorneys handle it. Most of them didn't have the money to pursue it, so they got shafted.
So, I don't see Trump ever coming to the aid of his followers who did exactly what he asked them to do in those rallies.
A President does have some 'immunity' from lawsuits stemming from his acts performed as President.
Of course, the basis of this lawsuit appears to be based on actions that Mr. Trump made prior to becoming President. Does he have immunity from lawsuits for acts prior to ascending to the Presidency?
Not according to the Supreme Court, whom ruled, 9-0, that Ms. Paula Jones could proceed with her lawsuit against then-President Clinton for acts she claimed occurred while he was governor of Arkansas.
"The merits of Ms. Jones's charges were not before the Court. The question for the justices was whether the Constitution shields a sitting President from having to defend civil lawsuits unrelated to his official duties. Supported by the Justice Department and citing the demands of the Presidency, Mr. Clinton's personal lawyers had asked the Court to recognize a limited new brand of Presidential immunity from liability, requesting a delay in all proceedings until Mr. Clinton leaves office."
Court said "No". If one is interested, they may look up the actual opinion by the Court. I did not do so, since I well recall the suit and the ruling, and this newspaper article gives a good review.
