would they really? national parks would close, such as death valley, ellis island & the statue of liberty. all of those employees would not receive a paycheck, while everyone in the 3 branches of government would. the shutdown in 2013 affected the fishing/crabbing industry as well.

Government shutdown hits fishermen, farmers, physicists - latimes

1. The dems lot the whitehouse because there canidate sucked more than the republican candidate.

2. As for the senate. Prove to me that one of the major causes for the senate flip was because of the government shut down.

3. The house was gone a while ago. So nothing there.

4. The Supreme Court is just a biproduct of point one and two.

It looks like there will be bipartisan compromise on the spending bill. Rs can't pass it otherwise. It is likely that Planned Parenthood will not be unfunded, Obamacare subsidies will be included, and Trump won't get any money for the wall. GOP will get more military spending.

Sounds like business as usual, gotta love the "bipartisan compromise" to keep the slimy wheels of the state turning.

That is a possibility. Ruling is much harder than simply being the opposition to whoever is ruling.

I don't believe it will show well for the republican if the end up shutting down the government. Maybe the far right may love it. But the center most likely will not. And that could cause some problems down the line.
