Go to the Miami Circle Landmark, you will see a few pedestals with history notes on them. All the positive stories will state the "Spaniards" did this and that, while all the negative stories will state "Europeans" did this and that.
Though Spaniards are indeed European, the labels in my opinion are on purpose to try to minimize any negative role Spaniards (i.e. Hispanics) had in Florida, while labeling negative actions "European" (i.e. white, non-Hispanic).

It's more than your opinion. It's fact. I just wonder how many people can spot the obvious.
