I don't feel sorry for O'Reilly at all, he's done quite well financially for himself over his lifetime and he could disappear on some remote island until he dies and most people probably won't miss him at all!
I kinda feel sorry for him.
All that money and he still can't get laid. He's got to be miserable.
Remember his feud with George Will on his book about Reagan? Will just excoriated the accuracy of his book and Bill O went off on Mr. Will and Bill cried like a baby.
Anyone who tries to argue with George Will comes out looking like an idiot. He's so calm and authoritative while Bill is screaming "Hack!" like that's an argument. He never denied not reading the memo that he made a centerpiece of his book. I can't believe he invited Will to come on his show.

Good point! I grew up in Northeastern PA, and actually remember when Bill was working at our local ABC affiliate, WNEP, during a short time in the 1970s, when he was in his 20's before he moved onto bigger TV markets.

Its a business decision. Fox thought the millions in hush money was worth it if his ratings stayed high and the advertisers kept paying...well the ratings were good but many of his advertisers stopped advertising and the show wasn't projected to be profitable anymore...
If true on O'Reilly, he won't be the first or last man that let his little head kill the big head in his decision making.
