It's a push to get future Americans to accept Islam and let it take over. The Obama admin has absolutely infiltrated the entire public sector with Muslim Brotherhood agents that are behind this normalization of terrorism crap.
Muhahahahahaa! We're taking over! Oh no, he found out our secret!
There was another secret vile religion that was set on taking over the world as well. Luckily these guys found them out and put them in their place!
The Middle East conflict and terrorism are issues we hear about almost daily in the news. This lesson will use video segments from Wide Angle's "Suicide Bombers" (2004), Internet sites, and primary sources to examine the roots of the Middle East conflict. The video contains interviews with young Palestinians who participated -- or intended to participate -- in suicide bombings. These young Palestinians share the personal, religious, political and emotional reasons behind their participation in these suicide operations.
This lesson could be used to review information about the three major monotheistic religions and their connections to Israel, to relate post-World War II policies to the current political state of the Middle East, and/or to get students to understand the roots of the terrorism that threatens the world we live in.
PBS is normalizing this criminal activity.
We don't need to explore the roots anything regarding this. We just need to stop this activity by any means necessary. What's next - a study on Boko Haram to elementary school students about why they are choosing more young kids to do suicide bombings?
Further down - it gives guidance on Introductory Activity...
Show your students the image of the Dome of the Rock. Ask them what type of building it seems to be (a mosque). Ask your students which religion worships there (Islam). Ask your students if they know the significance of this building for Muslims (the Dome of the Rock is the site at which Muslims believe Muhammad ascended into heaven).
Your tax dollars at work... give me a break .
Your example of the level of burning curiosity is what pushed humans to endeavor to greater understanding of others and themselves.
What they do is barbaric and internationally illegal. The why doesn't matter one bit. Are there documentaries or lessons available on why serial killers do what they do? Nope, the information is about WHAT they did, not WHY they did it and to try to get people to understand them.
Oh, yes there are!
Understanding why, a person becomes a zealot willing to die is one of the best ways to keep kids from becoming converts.
Moreover, understanding the behavior changes can save a lot of kid's lives when one alert kid makes the right call at the right moment.
Unless they know what zealotry is all about and how it looks, they won't ever have defenses against it.
That's the same reason there have been dozens of documentaries and other materials created about serial killers. The psychological factors are different from each other, but the willingness to kill is the same.
But obviously, none of this matters to you. You want to keep our young ignorant, in the dark, and easy victims. Not smart, D.

You didn't read In Cold Blood when you were in high school? It was part of our standard curriculum, and I grew up in a ruralish, incredibly conservative part of the country.
Of course it is barbaric. Of course it is internationally illegal. But why do people still do it? What are their motivations for getting involved in a group that is barbaric and internationally illegal? How might we identify young people who are at risk for being radicalized? Are they all abjectly evil and we'll just leave it at that? Plenty of people - especially young people as noted in the OP - who get sucked into radical groups aren't evil at all (see the recent Humans of New York 3 part series on a girl who left home and joined FARC at 13). It behooves us all to understand *why* while still condemning it as wrong.
You can only find a real solution to a problem when you understand the problem. PBS wasn't even remotely suggesting sympathy for suicide bombers. When you understand how these people become radicalized you can find ways to prevent said radicalization. We're not going to shoot or bomb our way out of the terrorism problem.
