Ah yes, more drug addicts. Just what a country full of mentally ill people really needs next. Most of them drive, too. Let's just keep piling on the dumb ideas so we can all escape our crappy reality instead of actually trying to fix it.

Just like drinking responsibly, it's important to use any substance responsibly.

If someone is a public nuisance while on a drug, penalize them for the nuisance they're causing. Just like with drinking.
Ditto

How are we going to fix it? Are we all going to print money and give it to the politicians?

More alcoholics, more DUI!

BTW, magic mushrooms are NOT addictive.

However for the legalize everything crowd. No. Meth needs to stay right where it is. Its one of the few I disagree about.

What do you use to escape your "crappy reality"?

I am not here to say psilocybin mushrooms should be legal, but I am here to say they are not addictive. Not even in the way that marijuana, Doritos, or oral sex are.

A lot of tech professionals have been microdosing for a long time, apparently it helps worth working out technically detailed solutions and problem solving, somethign I can see 110% Ther eis a reason these drugs have been used to see things in a different light, so to speak, throughout the history of humanity.

Then there are the cases of psilocybin/MDMA/LSD/Ayahuasca, all treating and effectively ENDING PTSD within people who have struggled with it. MANY Scholarly articles on the topic.

Magic Mushrooms are also being used with those who are terminally ill to help combat the feeling of loss and ease the transition. Many people have reported that after their trips, they are comfortable with their passing and just feel better in general about their situations. Again, I can believe this as humans have used some of these substances to be with the Gods for all of time, so it's just a modern version of it. Science has proven that they way it interacts in the brain, makes areas more active, and connected, more whole.

Pretty fascinating stuff, imo. Though, I've always thought psychedelics are like reality, in a very high dose, they open your eyes to things that were there all along, but you were blind to. After complete ego death, some truly life changing moments of clarity can be found and will change you, your perceptions, and the way you view the the world around you. I know there are a bunch of old school, bigoted, closed mindset people on here, and it's people like that that could benefit the most from the experience. If they only knew.
