US government representatives are American people.
For some American people, apparently it's more important to deny that money is influential in our elections ...
than to admit its potential as a corrupting influence.
Even with all of the common sense expressions weve grown up hearing through the years, & seeing how it works in common daily interaction, fr'instance 'Money talks' & 'Money not only talks, it screams' et cetera.
Even so, some folks continue to deny, it's baffling.
Irrelevant when you are going to continue voting for it. We all can agree but if we are going to continue to vote for it, I have no idea what your point is.
A large number complaining about this still went out and voted for Hillary despite her being the poster child for undo influence.
As opposed to Senator Sanders' crystal clear position ~ of course he values the first amendment as in the present scenario.
Simultaneously, he'd most likely agree with the proposition that money is so influential in our elections that it's corrupting influence cannot be ignored.

A number of progressives on CD have stated in other threads that the group of Republicans at UC Berkeley, or a supportive outside group, should pay for security for Coulter. On April 24th Professor George (with Professor West nodding alongside him) disagreed and said hat we must avoid a 'Heckler's Veto', and as such the university (not the group of Republicans) should provide the security.
Do you see us liberals making saying that all conservatives are like Richard Spencer? No, of course you don't. Yet some (not all) conservatives continue to make false assumptions as if all democrats support blocking Coulter's right to speak.
Are there not plenty of people calling all Trump voters mysoginists, Nazis, etc.? You need not look further than this forum.
I don't know how anyone can "loathe" Ann Coulter ...she is one of the most honest and articulate voices there is, and she can be very funny besides. She doesn't mince words ...perhaps that's what grates on people. She says what she means; but, I guess that can be offensive to some. She criticizes Republicans and Liberals alike. And she's very smart, too. As an attorney, she knows of what she speaks, so when she speaks out on something (like the court overstepping it's authority and blocking Trumps 'travel ban') her comment are going to be backed up by the law, not just her opinion.
He's right, violence serves no purpose. Not that Ann Coulter isn't a complete lunatic.
A lunatic that is right 99 percent of the time and backs up everything with stats we all know people like that scares the lunatic lefties.
Her book last year on immigration completely nailed everything right on the head and was very well reviewed all in all.
