Trump needs to trim the fat that has stemmed from many years of federal departments spending like no tomorrow.
We have agencies that don't need to be that big and all they do is kind of 'bribe' other countries with 'help money and food''
I'm thinking USAID that doesn't need to be paying millions in salary in order to manage world crisis stock of food
Look at congress and its benefits, cut the career politicians. Get rid of lobbyists.
Well he wants to cut the National Endowment of the Arts, EPA and the State Department, that should make you happy if he knocks off $20M. All he has to do is cut another $500B and we will be on our way.
So, lets get this straight, when the dems are in charge and the repubs filibuster it's the repubs fault the GOV shut down....
When the repubs are in charge and the dems filibuster, and the GOV shuts down, its the repubs fault....?
How is that even logical?
What you don't understand is that the democrats won't even need to filibuster, he can't even get it out of his own party. His own party can't agree on a budget or anything else for that matter. Did the democrats filibuster his AHCA?
I'm confused about something. How is it the dems fault if the government shuts down even though the Republicans control all three branches of the government?
The Repubs have a majority, but do not 100% control as they do not have a super majority. The Repubs do not have enough to override say a filibuster, nor can theyin general pass legislation without Dem support. But not saying it is the Dems fault, but saying just because the Repubs have a majority does not mean they can act without Dems being able to do anything.
Shutdown looms? But the GOP controls the government. Are you suggesting that all their firebranding they did was just a political play to their naive base?

Can you link to a dem filibuster that made the AHCA fail? I'll take any link, including any of your right wing Russian funded fake news site.
Repubs couldn't even get enough votes from their own party and they blame the dems. Whatever happened to thou shalt not bear false witness?

The Democrats passed the Affordable Care Act without a filibuster-proof majority. Why are they better at legislating than Republicans?
Here's the spoiler for all you libs hoping the gov shuts down. Trump won't let it happen. He'll compromise. Rats! The libs have been outsmarted again!!
...or..the Democrats have won..and are exploiting their position of unexpected power in DC---
Some say compromise..others say...forced to deal---
Except that the dems we're only in charge for 2 years. When government shut down under Obama, the repubs had the majority in the house.
Nowadays, the repubs have control of all 3 branches of the government. Trump can't even get people of his own party to agree with him.
Does not answer my question, try again.

Does not answer my question, and you don't 100% know that. What happened before is that the repubs were actually doing what they were voted in to do, why does that mystify the left?
