Assuming they did, they should be able to defend their choice to the students and anyone else for that matter.
I also agree with this. I don't see an issue with them protesting, but IMO they shouldn't going to institutions just to protest and if they are looking for a high quality institution that provides black professors in all departments, they should have considered and/or attended Hampton, Howard, or Spellman or FAMU.

FWIW I am a black woman and was a Sociology major as a freshman in college. I got into it because I'm interested in people and history and Sociology is a good combination of the two. It also gives you a good background in quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques and statistics so actually does have some good career options depending on what concentration the student focuses on. It is very similar to Economics, which is a social science as well. I instead got an English in undergrad and a graduate degree in Economics because I loved literature and didn't want to do all that math in undergrad. I went to Calc III in high school and didn't want to do a lot of math in college. I have a very high paying career and make well in advance of $28k and don't have $150k in loans.
Lol, stereotyping...

I'm not sure on the statistics of most social service workers being black, but they are women at 82%. That's a lot. I think that has to do with how little we pay for the services. I doubt it's because only black women want to help people.

An increase in wage for that area would probably draw more men to it, which we need. Right now the mean salary is $50,000 dollars. Raising a family on that is hard, it's more like a second income.https://mic.com/articles/30974/almos...men#.GMwZP0UkS

I read the article and she has a mixed bag of praise/criticism on so-called racial issues. But yeah, good example of the white SJW getting turned on by her pet group.

You're only as good as your last cucked position in the SJW world.

I can't help wondering where these students get the idea that they are entitled to DEMAND anything from the Administration?

That's ridiculous. Social sciences are just as important as hard sciences when it comes to properly educating people. We need our kids to understand their history, government, culture, art, and social institutions in general.

This can be ( and SHOULD BE) easily done at secondary school level.
Instead, public schools do not educate, and then education system charges money for this "general education" in colleges, handing to the graduates worthless degrees.
I was at my son's college graduation couple of days ago, and programs that young people were graduating from - oh boy... - "Office support specialist," "Visual Communications," "Leadership essentials," "Leadership & Supervision Professional," "Human Resource Management" "Administrative Professional"...
What's the heck?
As someone said here - "You want fries wit dat?"

Seems like that's what people want. Blacks can have their own communities, no whites to annoy them. Hispanics can have their own. Whites can have their own. Then there's no "cultural appropration" to b*tch about, no more Shea butter uproar, no more talk about how someone got hired or fired based on skin color, no more need for Affirmative Action, no more white cops killing unarmed black or Hispanic "children"...

That's not what they* say in their marches. In their marches they want "diversity", but as soon as they get it, they don't want "diversity" anymore. So heck with it, give each their own community.

*"they" = liberals who can't make up their damn minds what they want.

The indoctrination centers love the social (soft) sciences. They're primarily used to brainwash kids into worshipping the State.
