What is welfare is the corporate tax rate as it stands.

Lowering the tax rate won't increase jobs, increased demand does that.

By lowering the corporate tax will cause the company to invest the money on itself. End result is the company could expand creating jobs.

I like it. It's time to create jobs. No more vilifying businesses especially small businesses and then get $400k speaking fee from fat cat bankers.

Corporations pass their tax burden to the consumers, so why add all the extra bureaucratic costs?

It would be much easier to just add 5% (or whatever amount you want) as a sales tax to all goods sold.

Why not do that if you want taxes raised?

One thing is for sure, if you have more regulations, higher labor, and taxes costs, companies will continue to operate overseas, and not here.
Not really. Companies can thrive with high wages/labor costs. You just have to invest in education for the people and fight corruption. Two things many on the right refuse to accept.

In theory, when has this actually happened?

Corporations dont pass their tax burden to the consumers. They cant. Thats a right wing talking point. If that were the case, they wouldnt fight so hard to lower the taxes on themselves.

Yes, because companies can't set their prices.

This may be one of the most ridiculous posts I've seen in awhile.

Every business passes their costs, including their taxes, off to the consumer.

Watched as a CEO of a company called Water, tried to answer a question on what his company would do with increased income from tax cuts.

The answer was: return profit from over seas and distribute to share holders.

Not invest in business, not expand in US, not create jobs. Distribute to share holders.

That's why a progressive tax system is better for job creation and business expansion. Charge a higher rate and allow credits to create jobs and write offs for growth expenses.
