Nah, let's just cut taxes and increase spending, that has always been a winner.

I am OK with anything that starves the government of funding. The government is operating outside its scope and needs to be reigned in. If it ain't enumerated in the Constitution, it should be cut.

What big fat refund???? As far as I can tell eliminating all deductions except for mortgage interest and charitable deductions won't help most of the people who currently itemize. Or maybe you are privy to information that no one else knows about?

Americans may soon have to kiss these lucrative personal tax deductions goodbye - MarketWatch

Trump is showing his true colors by favoring the constituent groups he really cares about - the extremely wealthy class and business. He could care less for all the little people that voted for him. They will soon lose their healthcare, breathe polluted air, drink bad water, and end up getting the short end on these tax breaks.

Otherwise it's screaming and shouting over deficit spending.

How about we cut the military budget to where it is equal to the next three highest military budgets of other countries, instead of the top 17? We'd have enough left over to do single payer health care.

Also that 35% corporate tax rate is a joke! With all of the loopholes, the average is about half of that rate! How do you think companies like GE end up paying 0%? I hear a lot about dropping the rate ...but closing all of those loopholes you could drive a truck through ...not so much!
That right there is their endgame.

It's exactly why Kansas and other states are starving public education, etc.
They are creating the failures so that they can then argue for closures, more cuts due to lack of performance and the rest.

They don't care about deficits or debt. What they do care about is making sure that all available monies stay in the hands of the top .5%
It's all a big circle-jerk to reward their cronies over and over and over again.

Tax credits for college expenses will be gone.

Right now, it's a $2500 tax credit/year for years 1 through 4 of college.

This means some lower income people will no longer be able to afford college. Students will have larger college loans to cover the $2500/year extra they will have to pay for each year of college.

Make America Dumb Again.

you are exactly correct.

And the thing is , it actually works, but only when they have democrats running at least one branch. The problems the Republicans have is that the have the majority in all branches .

The republicans now have no cover for depriving their own voters. They purposely block funding, they purposely degrade services, redirect social safety net monies away from the poor ...

but now how do they blame the dems if the school has no money and so on...

Trump's tax page, is just more proof of the gross incompetence of the entire republican team. Ryan and trump clearly did not even collaborate on the tax cut, nobody in gov believes it has a snowballs chance of passing and nobody believes it is a serious attempt at tax reform.

removing "death" tax rewards only those with large estates in the tens of millions of dollars.

Removing AMT (alt min tax)
rewards only those with high incomes and clever accountants

reducing "pass through" rewards LARGE business owners and the wealthy. (drops their tax from 39% to 15%)

Reducing capital gains taxes, reducing corp taxes....

It is a bonanza for those with high net worth and a large amount of investments. the entire Tax page is aimed at Reducing taxes on passive incomes, high net worth investors etc.

This tax "idea" is a massive middle finger to middle america.
