I think we should continue sending our troops overseas. Have them protect other nations borders better than we protect our own borders. Keep nation building and when the vets come home, don't give them the proper treatment and care that they need.
When the people continue to elect war mongers, this is the result.
Bring the troops home and protect our borders like the Constitution says.
I am pretty convinced that a person that will execute this kind of cruelty on animals would do it on humans too given a similar power imbalance. Basically a psychopath on a leash composed only of their own cowardice and fear of consequences.
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — A veteran in North Carolina has been charged with tying her service dog to a tree and shooting it five times while a soldier filmed it.
Cumboui belonged to Rollins and was her emotional support dog, the sheriff's office told NBC sister station WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina. Rollins is suffering from PTSD and other emotional issues, authorities said. Court documents obtained by The Associated Press said Rollins received medical retirement from the military.
I'm calling BS on this. An emotional support animal is not a service animal. Those are 2 different classifications.
Did she serve overseas? Where does the PTSD stem from? Just because someone has PTSD does not mean it's because of their time in the military. When did she serve? How long did she serve? What was her MOS? Again, did she get deployed to the ME? How long has she been out? Did something happen after she got out? Did she have PTSD before and hid it?
An "emotional support animal" is NOT provided to the person. It is not a service animal. An "emotional support animal" is one that the person has or will choose themselves, and then they go to the VA or any other psychiatrist and get a letter that states that they "have" to have their emotional support animal. It is not allowed in to buildings like a service animal. It is not given the same rights as a service animal. The only real good thing it does is allow someone to rent an apartment regardlesss of their pet policy and not have to pay the deposit for said "emotional support animal". You can't take them on the plane, on a cruise, etc because they are not service animals.
A lot of people abuse the system to get letters claiming that they have a need for an "emotional support animal". In this day and age, it is NOT hard with so many psychiatrists wanting to shove pills down peoples throats for very common human emotions. They like to label everyone with a disorder.
Not to say that she did not have PTSD, but just because someone was in the military does not mean that they automatically have it because of their service.
There's way too many unanswered questions here. I long for the day when reporters start doing their jobs thoroughly.

The woman asked for a trained PTSD dog and she got it! Then she got drunk on her own and killed it! Just what was anyone to do? Her own military boyfriend encouraged it.....again how is society to help any more than we already did?
How do we know if this woman wasn't just f'd up before military, how many military women get tats of rifles on their chest. I like my pistols, but hell, if I will tat one on my body!
