are you seriously equating terrorist Islamists that murder people throughout the world daily in the name of Islam, including each other, with fundamentalist Christians?

the delusion of Progressives boggles the mind.

It's not about thinking all Muslims are terrorists or evil, it's about the culture of treating women as second class citizens and it's hatred toward homosexuality... things that make American conservatives seem like Rachel Maddow in comparison.

that is absolutely a good point.

I do struggle with conservative Muslims. But I struggle with conservative Christians who think the same about women and homosexuals.

So I don't like one more than the other or tolerate one more than the other.

It doesn't work that way.

I guess that makes me a liberal because I won't definitively declare any group of people as less than or say that I hate them.

I just can't.

Yes, because ALL Muslims hate homosexuals and will not tolerate them.

And yes, ALL liberals are violent and refuse to let a conservative give a speech.

DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF?!

How is that any different than the "Religious Right" Christian fundamentalists that make up a huge portion of today's GOP?

There are no Muslim politicians in the United States as socially conservative as Republicans in the Bible Belt. That's the only thing that matters to me at this point. I don't care what individuals do, but Christians are the ones tying to impose their moral righteousness on the population through legislation.

I know, so sad that they have thousands of Gay friendly churches. Compare that too Gay friendly Mosques if you want to get a good idea of equivalency.

Exactly and that is why Liberals have such a distain for Conservatives.

I'm a liberal, and don't accept Islam or any religion for that matter.

As I've said probably five times in the past two days, I don't have to agree with your position in order to defend your right to it.

So, I may think you're a raving lunatic for suggesting that gay people are all going to hell but you have a right to believe it and say it. What you DON'T have a right to do is push those beliefs onto others in the form of laws.

I believe it is you people who have to learn the idea of live and let live. I think a lot of religions are oppressive towards women and gays. Should I push to have them outlawed? Nah. Same as you and others shouldn't push to have YOUR beliefs made law.
