Feast or famine, I've fixed my own living quarters. Most people just paint over the lead paint with a primer and put on two coats of new paint. Even in rentals the landlords usually let you paint, it's not that expensive. I don't see what the problem is, do they have broken arms or something? Replacing lead pipes is expensive, so I can see a renter holding out on that one. They should have success in the local courts though, nobody likes a slum landlord. I just don't see this as a federal government problem.

Old paint chips and there are also lots of lead from paint dust, old interstates and industrial sites packed with poisonous lead.

Its a national problem and a huge scandal. We literally risk having millions of people being lead poisoned.

And cities with those problems can pay to fix them.

What's the problem?

Be nice if everyone on Earth could drink from pure running water streams.
My god, there are copper pipes all through my home, two of my sinks are copper. Tell me, I can take it, how bad is it? Are gold pipes better? If so, maybe only Trump can afford them! Whatever will we do when our own government won't supply us with solid gold pipes (I'll drill them out as needed, promise).

The problem was created by the federal government.

I get my drinking water at a fresh spring in Saratoga! Much tastier than tap water. I suggest you do the same if there is one near you.

So, now you want less federal government. Thank goodness you've seen the light.

No, I want the federal government to act to support communities affected by problems it is responsible for. How is that so hard to understand? This "less federal government" agenda is just pushed by people who dont want to fight against big money in politics and keep carrying the water for the ruling donor class.
