FCC chair unveils plan to roll back net neutrality - Apr. 26, 2017

Can't wait until you have to pay Crapcast an extra $50 per month just so you can stream Netflix OR use Crapcast's new movie streaming service if you don't want to pay. It's mind blowing the public elects these buffoons in charge that do everything possible to make bills more expensive for everyone in order to make horrifically bad companies like Crapcast more money. Pai should be thoroughly raked over the coals if this happens.

>Pai has now issued a proposal to repeal that reclassification, called Title II, raising alarms among net neutrality advocates and throughout the tech industry.

"Two years ago, I warned that we were making a serious mistake," Pai said in a speech at the Newseum in Washington D.C. "The more heavily you regulate something, the less of it you're likely to get." <

Someone quote this 2 years from now when you have to pay even more for internet even tho it is "less regulated"

? It still is if you use a TV antenna. The channels that used to be free are the exact same ones that are free now, in fact, there are more free now thanks to subchannels.

Entertainment has never been cheaper.. if you don't use cable. Fast internet with a good VPN and a torrent site equals win. Or Netflix. I'm not that worried about it... if they try to charge too much I'll cancel my home internet and spend more time disconnecting from these time wasting devices.

Oh please..NN is new and hasn't been around that long at all and internet bills have stayed the same. This is fear mongering by the people who want to control your minds.

That's because ISPs were in a growth phase. Now they aren't and they are seeking new revenue streams by double gauging customers and upstream content providers. If they didn't care then why the big push toward removing NN?

If I pay for the connection, the content that is delivered over that connection is solely between myself and the upstream provider of that content. The ISP can bugger off.

Once analog broadcasting was eliminated it was the end of getting any channels for free via antenna in my locale. The end of analog was the end of broadcasting from Mt Washington. Now a digital antenna will only work in the most densely populated areas.

Lie. Complete lie. Complete and utter lie.

But honestly, I've had it with debating this subject.

**** Pai. **** Trump for making a telco lackey the head of the FCC. **** people who voted for the corporate mouthpiece in the White House.

And in particular, **** everybody who's going to defend this on the grounds that it makes liberals angry, hur-hur. You're screwing yourself and the country over for the empty thrill of being told you're on the winning side.
