"U.S. District Judge William Orrick III, of the Northern District of California, ruled against the Trump administration after the city of San Francisco and county of Santa Clara sued over the president’s plan to withhold federal funding from cities or counties that harbor illegal aliens, Fox News reported... The judge not only raised $200,000 for Obama in 2008, but he also raised $30,000 to committees supporting the former president that year."

Judge Who Blocked Trump's Sanctuary City Order Raised $200,000 for Obama - Breitbart

Are judges allowed to raise money for political candidates? Oh wait, Orrick raised the money for Obama and THEN Obama nominated him.

So. Poke holes in his legal decision if you can.

Since he wasn't a federal judge at the time the question is irrelevant..

i am glad to see this judge raised monies legally and fully disclosed and then stopped raising money when it would have been unethical.

Thanks laura for showing us just how excellent and ethical the Obama admin was compared to this scummy thief we have in the WH now.

well said.

Let me guess...conservatives are "outraged?!" Again with the double standards/hypocrisy.

What about Rex Tillerson, former CEO of Exxon, now US Secretary of State, who weeks ago lobbied on behalf of Exxon to obtain a waiver to dig in Russian territory. A deal that Tillerson was a part of back in 2012, it was worth nearly $500 BILLION. Half a trillion dollars. As SoS, Tillerson was lobbying on behalf of a company that he was CEO for just five months ago.

But no, no conflict of interest there. Yet conservatives are going back to 2008 when the Judge Orrick raised money for Obama 5 years before he was appointed as a federal judge.

Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

Correct, his appointment was FAR worse. Tillerson wields FAR more power then the judge, whose ruling can quickly be challenged.

I'm in favor of the Death Penalty for the Dishonorable Judge Orrick.

We will be killing a LOT of Republican judges who have done the same.

Your comment shows a distinct lack of critical thinking.
