Congress averts U.S. government shutdown - World - CBC News

Purposely chose a non-American media outlet just for a different perspective....just different not better not worse -- just different.

Interestingly enough the guys get it done enough to skip town and enjoy their week end.

They work so tirelessly for all of us don't they.

The bipartisan budget talks had progressed smoothly after the White House dropped a threat to withhold payments that help lower-income Americans pay their medical bills

The government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take it away.

Wow, Trump caved on everything. Didn't get his wall funding, Obamacare defunding...
Now he's off to a gun-free zone NRA meeting to feel better.

Do not be foolish and assume this. You sound like everyone who thinks he was going to make changes immediately right off the bat. Hell, even Obamacare took a few years, as cluster-effed as it turned out to be.

Budget talks likely won't stop Trump from playing golf this weekend. Is he going to FL again this weekend or will be be playing golf nearer to DC this weekend.
