I am trying to find news on north korea but I have reached my " article limit" with NY times and the Washington post and I need to subscribe to find about a war looming with my country. Comical, what a joke of a media , these papers are not serious media.

And the Guardian.

British newspapers are much better in quality any way. They also tend to be more unbiased. I stopped reading American papers a long time ago.

I'm not American, but I prefer to use non-American sources to find out what's happening in America. It wouldn't shock me if the Trump Administration starts censoring foreign media.

So true, OP. Neither WaPo or NYT are serious media these days.

We used to subscribe to WaPo (the print version). When we noticed how biased they had become and the reporting got really shoddy, we gave up the subscription. Sometimes we buy a Sunday paper just to keep around in case we need to soak up any spills or wrap packages we are mailing that's all it's good for these days.

It has nothing to do with Trump or any president. The US propaganda machine is very effective and powerful. Was not good under Obama, Bush or Clinton either. It is how this country works, not due to a certain president.

^^^^That won't happen. I don't know why you think otherwise.

The internet continues to become a more significant threat to the propaganda machine, so the current Administration (or future ones) will have to do something to sustain the machine. I wasn't referring to Trump individually, as a President.

I would point out one important difference. NYT and WaPo are not public entities. The BBC is. That is not a comment on the content of any of them, it's just a fact of business.
