The government?

What's to say that a boy can't be a girl scout?

New era of new and different ideas. May as well get with the program as it isn't going to go away.

Maybe because the boy isn't a girl. Being a boy or a girl is not an "idea", it is a biological fact that CANNOT be changed, XY vs XX lives on forever except in the minds of those with mental health issues.

What this amounts to is that these kids are being brought up like turtles, the parents hatch them and then run off in the ocean. (stick them in daycare, after school programs, etc. rather than spending time with them) and in order for the kids to feel "special", they need attention from outside sources. Media falls in line telling stories that people will repeat "Geesh, did you hear about that boy that wants to be a Girl Scout? What is the world coming to!"

Radio is slipping away, I guess this is a way to be "relevant"?

Nobody has said anything about "shut down" -- forcing Taxpayers to fund Leftist Political News needs to stop.

It's not National Public Radio, it's Leftist Opinion Radio.
It's not Public Broadcasting - it's Leftist Opinion Broadcasting.
Leftists have plenty of money, they can fund it.

Clearly, Republicans are not in favor of any type of media that doesn't promote Trump's lies and RW nutball conspiracy theories.

Wonder why that is?

NPR is even handed, quality journalism. It's a shame you don't recognize it. Also, sorry not sorry you're exposed to human experiences that don't fit into your narrow vision of the world.

NPR is not a government agency.

Voice of America is. I suppose you have confused the two.

Trump doesn't own the press. The Clintons do.

I realize you are probably feeling pretty smug about your post, but when Trump's your guy, talking about who tells the biggest lies is a nonstarter.

Trump and the Republicans already have that trophy.
