If we are to have political parties, their leadership should be the people who vote for these parties. The fact that we've devolved to wanting leaders and not servants has shown the the vision that founding fathers made into a reality has been destroyed.

I think that the Democrats usually - but especially now - don't have the kind of tight dictatorial hierarchy that the Republicans tend to have.
