Trump doesn't follow the laws and the Constitution. If Trump followed the laws and the Constitution, he wouldn't try to EO and tweet his way into making his desires law and the courts wouldn't have stopped his travel ban twice. Congress isn't just window dressing. It is the third branch of our government that must agree with the president's actions.
You mean like how Obama gave millions of illegal aliens a stay of deportation with work permits via EO and by passing congress of which the courts ruled as unconstitutional?
The so called "ban" was actually a 90 day pause on travel from dangerous countries that Obama himself made a list of.
How do we know that Trump wasn't told about impending attacks and that scared him to action and he was just trying to keep us safe.

The same nonsense has been considered by "the other side" every President since Reagan. The way our government is setup it is impossible for a dictatorship to evolve.
FDR was the last best chance for it to happen and Congress put a stop to is after he passed.
Impossible? Are you sure of that? Think about where we are. We have a President who breaks rules whenever he feels like it and gets away with it. He uses the White House and environs for campaigning even though it's illegal, lies constantly and no one does a thing about it. Where are all the roadblocks that were intended to keep someone like him making himself supreme commander with no limits to his power and no one to stop him? Look at the rise of Putin and you can draw some parallels between the two men. He doesn't even have to change the constitution to keep himself in power, he can just rig elections to pass the position on to his children, if anyone tries to oppose him, he will shut down the mail, shut down polling places or just rig the election and anyone who dares to run against him will likely end up in a coma due to poisoning.
