I really don't understand why high capacity magazines are ... well.... so bad. So bad to a point they have to be banned.

The tool used does not make a difference in the amount of carnage that can be wrought in a mass shooting. Whether it be an “assault weapon”, a side-by-side shotgun, a pistol, bombs, or even a knife, 20 minutes to 3 hours has been the range of time a mass killer has to operate before the police can intervene. ( I could be wrong about this)

Three hours with no resistance and total control means any kind of ban of a certain kind of firearm would not change the situation in the least. Consider the Navy Yard shooting that involved a pump-action shotgun with no buttstock in an incredibly secure Federal Government facility. In South Carolina it was a pistol. In Columbine there was no “assault weapon” present. At Virginia Tech two pistols were used.

Banning one type of semi-automatic firearm and not others makes no sense if you believe banning guns is the way to stop these tragedies (which it isn’t).

Limiting the magazine capacity from 30, 20, 17, 15 rounds to 10 or 5 rounds doesn’t matter either, as the assailant can prepare with as many magazines as they can.

by the way, I understand people need to obey law (even though some laws can be pretty darn stupid). In my ideal world, the vet should just pay a $5 fine. That is about it. It is not like he has done anything wrong or bad. Where is the victim? Where is the crime? who has been hurt?

They ARE FACTORY CAPACTIY MAGAZINES FOR A GLOCK MODEL 17! How ignorant can you be? Guess its better to get popped in NY Vs MA. Glocks are totally illegal in MA. MA you need that retarded chamber indicator on the top of the receiver that says UP WHEN LOADED.

It is a law that turns a lawful gun owner into a FELON. Do you not see the arrogance and spite of the law!?

Not exactly, you see laws change and claiming in court that "well the law used to be different..." will not keep you out of jail

The gun can be lawful and the magazine illegal, why do you find that so shocking?

So you would be absolutely fine with forfeiting your arms/magazines because the law says so? Guess you have more money than brains...

I lived in that lib oasis state... That is one of the main reasons I sold my snowmobiles, stock car, and hot rod and got on 95 south for 22 hours.

It is no shock you ignoramus, ITS A LAW PASSED TO TURN LAW ABIDING CITIZENS INTO FELONS DUH!
The pistol comes with 3 17 round magazines a cleaning brush, backstraps, a speed loader inside a blow molded black plastic case from the factory.

So if your state passes a law that your vehicle cant have ANY tint on the windows, and from the factory the windows are tinted... You are going to be all happy to open your wallet and replace every piece of glass with clear?

We're arguing the point that a law change that made a previous legal gun component into an illegal one, for no justifiable reason. The person in the OP was broke a law from one day to the next by doing nothing except existing. Why so dense?

When the law passed requiring you to wear a shoulder belt when you drive, chances are the belt was already in the car, you just weren't mandated to use it. After the law was passed, not wearing the shoulder belt was against the law..even though it had previously been perfectly legal...and you call me dense?

This analogy doesn't even make sense.

A better one would be

You own a bible, then the government comes a long and says "bible over 300 pages are illegal to purchase but if you have a bible over 300 pages you can keep it, but it is illegal to sell it, list it for sale, give it or pass it on" then 15 years latter the government comes back a long and says "actually that bible we said you could legally own that is over 300 pages, now you have to turn them in to the police or move out of state with them, it is still illegal to list it for sale"

Of course the people with bibles, like everyone else, don't read every single new law of the hundreds of new laws passed every year; so they don't know they are actually breaking the law by having a bible. They one day decide to sit in the park and read their 345 page bible when the police officer notices and then arrests them and confiscate their bible as it is illegal to own.
