Trump has already raised gas prices quite a bit since he got in office. Enough is enough.

Between this and the willingness to meet with N. Korea-- this is closer to what I support. One of us has changed.

Today the WH also mentioned selling off public assets as well as creating new public-private partnerships. In other words, lease federal roads and federal parks/land to private companies who then charge tolls and also make profit and maybe even develop and mine the properties and make massive profits while throwing a few pennies toward the people as a fake show of support.

As part of this public-private partnership, Trump will likely lease out public land(or sell) to Trump's billioniare buddies and sell public land to gas and oil companies who will make massive profits. Likely swamp connected billionaires will be picked to buy or lease these public assets for much less then their true market value. But the WH will come up with some fake 'valuation' that says that the public is getting a nice deal. If any news agency tries to show the true market value, they will be attacked as fake news.

Trump is in the process of making billionaires richer and will be glad to charge regular hard working Americans brand new use taxes for things that are now free.

The fleecing of the American people has begin. Our national lands, national parks, interstates, federal roads, bridges, airports, railroads are all up for grabs. The private companies that take them over will charge people for use and the rates will increase every year. Watch your public lands bet bulldozed before your very eyes. And the interstates, roads and bridges that are sold will get high tolls but you will see less road maintenance because they'll keep the money for profits rather than keep the roads maintained.

I wish that while they are doing this, they would also reconsider gas pump liability insurance. Too many people get away with NOT buying insurance. Adding a 5 cent surcharge that would be applied to everyone with a gas tank and getting rid of the insurance company middlemen would lower the cost for everyone.

Those with electric cars and those who want comprehensive would continue to go through an insurance provider.

I doubt this will be passed by the conservative Republicans in congress.

Why are so many of his supporters freeloaders that think roads magically appear? And it's not just this. They don't want to pay for anything, and want it all. And they project this in arguments constantly.

raising gas taxes is an extremely regressive form of taxation.

It hurts the lower income proportional more than the well to do. And worse still lower income families have longer travel distances to the workplace and have to buy more gasoline making the tax even a bigger issue.

It hurts red low density states and rural voters MUCH MORE than the densely packed suburban and urban voters who tend to be democrats.

This is hits rural red voters hardest, and frankly i support the tax solely for that reason. Trump supporters would end up paying more than anyone else.

delightfully droll, to see Trump dump all over his supporters. No doubt smarter people will whisper in trumps ear..
