I don't think he was joking. Since most American's don't make things anymore, they have no idea how soul draining those jobs are. They think nothing of the workers. We have lost touch with our blue collar roots, and we are so quick to sell our integrity away for cheap, slave made goods. I have always been told that Americans are empathetic. When it comes to who we give our money to, I just don't see it.

Yup. Dangerous, lead filled products that are not safe to handle. Americans deserve better, and American workers deserve better than to be forced to compete in a global race to the bottom. That's a race no one should intend to win.

if you don't want to buy Chinese don't and persuade your fellow Americans to do the same. Just don't apply coercive tariffs.

The purpose of jobs is to create goods and services. If we just want jobs we can pay people to dig holes and others to fill them up.

Not too worried about the lead in my belt buckle.

This is an old hoax. That said, I go out of my way not to buy stuff made in China, they are not our friends.
This. I paid ten bucks for a can opener made in USA JUST because it was made here. It IS sharper than our old one.
