I am neither a Trump supporter or a Colbert fan, yet I find his remarks totally unacceptable regarding the President of the US. Eight years and no one took Obama on to this extent, why, because it would be called racist, yet Colbert and other so-called entertainers can disrespect the office of the President. I am tired of liberal talk shows and celebrities shoving their views and opinions down my throat.

Exactly.
They think they are helping the Democrats but they are actually doing the opposite.
Independents will not want to vote for such sore losers.
And Republicans will be more motivated now than they were last year (when many Republicans didn't like Trump because he was nowhere near a traditional Republican).

What's with all the pearl clutching?

I thought we were done with political correctness. Speaking your mind is all the rage now.

Or so I've heard.

That's what I thought too. Trump supporters have been anti PC with glee for the past two years so what's the problem? Also, Colbert's ratings are the highest since his premiere so he's doing something right.

Exactly. It's like SNL, no one is making them watch, so go watch Sean Hannity instead, apparently that guy does Trump worship like no one's business. Colbert's ratings are higher than ever.

Trump is a self-serving degenerate that thought nothing of swindling fellow Americans out of their savings. Colbert was not nearly harsh enough. I am disgusted that this snake oil salesman of a university scam was allowed to run for any public office. He has so cheapened the office of the presidency that the USA is a laughingstock and rightly so!

Then don't watch. His ratings are higher than ever. I think in time Colbert will be heralded as a hero. I also think Trump will go down in history but not the way Trump supporters think.
