I cannot even believe that the Following, who had no problem excusing the so-called president's language and even casting a vote for the guy who made p-grabber part of our everyday lexicon, are freaking out over this.

This is so idiotic. I saw the monologue and they bleeped it.

I didn't even know what word he actually said until the Trump snowflakes (or maybe the Putin trolls?) made such a huge deal out of it.

Hey--it's just 'locker room banter.' All guys (and many women judging from those who jumped to Trump's defense) have heard this kind of talk before. Just ask Billy Bush.

I'm talking about a person in colberts position, you know that and you're trying to change the subject....

YOu know damn well if a person on the right in colberts position, they would already be gone....
Uuuh; Chuck, that IS the subject.

"A person in Colbert's position?" Would that position have greater exposure to the people than a guy running for president making speeches to the nation at large not being censured for obscene speech? Cripes ahmighty!

At least Colbert was coherent from beginning to end!

Stephen Colbert Demolishes Trump for Insulting

What do you think?
What do I think?

It's like what Tom Smothers said years ago: "[11/28/02, interview in Chicago Tribune] I'm watching television and I'm not seeing anything. I watch all the cable shows where you should see some looseness and you're not hearing anything . . . There's a general dumbing down of everybody in this country . . . It just kept going and going until it's gotten to the point where it's all mean-spirited and vulgar. It not only affects comedy, it affects film. It affects literature. It's pervasive on radio. There's that guy Howard Stern and all that smart ass, vulgar, sexual pretending like they're expanding freedom of speech. They ought to put an amendment to the First Amendment that says there shall also be freedom of hearing." (from imdb)

Regardless of who he was talking about, it sounds like to me that he was being crude for crude's sake.

It certainly wouldn't encourage me to watch him but nothing he has done ever has. If I was watching him, I would turn him off and give a few months of a time out.

It's kind of funny watching the Right, which has been the side that stood in the way at every turn of gay equality (marriage, adoption, hospital visitation, employment rights, etc.) get all uppity and self-righteous about a joke from a comedian that wasn't even about homosexuality.

Exactly. Though, we should cut them some slack because when it's your first time trying to defend gays, you can get it wrong.

cool story bro, but you should really learn what the word "fascist" means, it certainly does not apply to 99.99% of liberals. but you know this already, your use of the word is because you fear its use against the right and thus wish to lessen the word.

But it does not work, we see through the weak ploy, and ultimately through the alt-white thugs and the and extreme right folk using it.

most Conservatives do not feel the way you feel, your view is that of an outlier.

What do you think?

Considering the things Donald Trump said and the people he insulted during the campaign, Donald Trump deserves no respect, respect is earned. Stephen Colbert was on point. Free speech!

Only the Left Fascist try to prevent all speech that violates the PC Socialist code. Cobert would be in jail charged with hate crimes if he had said the same thing about President Odummy. Conservatives are open minded and listen to all point of view and don't try to prevent speech they disagree with, unlike liberals.

I doubt you know what most conservatives think and feel and whether or not my thoughts are an outlier....I voted with the winning side on the Presidential level and with the party dominating the USA.

So tell me, what do you call it when all these 99.9% of these non fascist liberals ignore facts on their side? Oh right, selective outrage. Show me a list of the liberal establishment owning up to their lies, distortions, and censorship. Aiding and abbeting fascism by not speaking out is just as bad

Without a doubt, had anyone on the right said about 0bama, what Colbert said to Trump - they would be freaking fired, never to work again.
