No - it is not true. ANYONE, regardless of income, can obtain health care in the UNITED STATES. PERIOD.

What you may be referring to is the delivery method - which is a totally different topic.

Some people do not like going to "clinics" for their healthcare. I know of clinics who ask for no financial information whatsoever. And, there are all kinds of people in these facilities - but, you will get your situation / problem addressed.

Its funny how people for socialized medicine refuse to live in countries with socialized medicine... after all, they risk losing everything in this country... their life, their money, everything... apparently that is not enough for them to move... Canada is only across the border...

Wow, so countless Americans have watched their loved ones die due to lack or treatment, or have lost their home due to hospital bills when all along free health care was available to them?

Silly people I guess.

I am here because I married an American and his job took him back to the US. He has experienced both systems and says if nothing changes soon he wants to move to a country with a national health system.
I quite fancy Australia! : )

Have a nice trip... cause its never going to happen... even the candidates today are not proposing a real national health care plan... instead of paying directly to insurance companies, you pay the government who pays the insurance company... I guess u will be moving soon then...

It's really quite a disgusting state of affairs and I am amazed that you seem to think this is ok.
If it's not happening to you, it's ok. Right?

I think you'd like Oz! Also, minimum salary in OZ is almost 14AUD per hour...
that's 5$ /hr here(and then people wonder why poverty is worst in US).

Not as much gun violence, great beaches and climate... in any case,
considering how violent America is, it isn't strange that quality of life is bad.

Also, 4weeks vacations in OZ.

Anyways, you can't miss... all western nations have better HC system than US.

WRONG! I have corrected you on this before. Last year a woman got refused for much needed medical attention in the emergency room of a Los Angeles hospital and ended up dead there. These cases, granted, are probably rare, but then I wonder for everyone who turns up in the national news from dying for lack of medical care, how many more are going unreported?
