The tenth amendment only can be used so long as it don't break any other part of the Constitution whether originally in there or changed by an amendment. These laws broke the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment despite allowing the 10th to have teeth. See the issue?
"No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."
The only way that reads DOMAs are invalid is if we read something into it that isn't there.
Same-sex couples had due process of law because nothing was taken from them or done to them and the law applied equally to them since they could also marry a member of the opposite sex.
The lawsuit, in addition to pissing off half of America, will become a political football that may get same-sex marriage in front of the Supreme Court once again.
That would be the best possible development since it will give the Trump appointed justices (assuming Ginsberg/others is/are gone soon) the chance to reverse the previous 5-4 bull **** decision.

You know, I respect the position "homosexuality is immoral" a lot more than I respect this one. And that's not saying much at all.
You now have the freedom to marry a member of the same sex, in addition to your freedom to marry a person of the opposite sex, and the law still applies equally. So it's all good.

It's amazing the white trash that conservatives elevate to celebrity status. Joe the Plumber, Kim Davis, and I'm sure there are others who became household names during the election(s) that I've forgotten.
I disagree with what Ms. Davis did. She was wrong as her job was to issue licenses for marriages and she refused to do her job based on her religious beliefs. But, in my opinion these men aren't doing themselves or the gay rights cause any favors by trying to financially punish this woman. Filing a lawsuit makes this couple look vindictive and punitive.
I think the vindictive and punitive actor here is, or rather was, Ms. Davis. These types need to know that they cannot get away with this. Good for the couple!!!

By how government forces people to accept marriages and how government forced people to not be married. How marriage is enforced not the definition of marriage.

No they weren't. No one has a right to marriage. How in the world is it a right when you have to ask government permission? Government doesn't grant any rights. None whatsoever. Since government has gotten involved in the marriage business gays fell under the equal protection clause from government.
