Most of the people who voted for POTUS and these GOP Representative are in the pre-existing category. You think those town halls were bad before wait till the next batch.

There is a BIG difference between "paying your fair share" and "YOU ARE DENIED COVERAGE" or "Your Premium Has Been Jacked UP 500% because you have a pre-existing condition that could make you expensive to cover in the future even though you are perfectly healthy today".

It is basically the same turkey as before with the requirement for pre-existing conditions removed. So it is even worse for your average Joe. Slashed subsidies for older people, an end to medicaid expansion, older people pay 5 times what younger ones do, allowing employers to cancel their employee plans, no help with copays etc. I guess they want a "win" by getting past this as everyone pretty much assumes this is DOA at the Senate.

That's not true for an individual policy the way I inderstand it. You only purchase a policy for a 1 year period and only can re-enroll each year IF they allow you to. After that 1 year policy expires, they can raise the rate or choose not to insure you if you go sick during that period of time. If you got sick or had claims and they decide not to insure you, then you can try to get insurance from other carriers. But the other carriers will want to know your medical history because they could turn you down for that preexisting condition.

If the other carriers turn you down then you are screwed. You become uninsurable even though the prior year you were 100% healthy and had a nice insurance policy. They will dump you the next enrollment period as soon as you get sick.

If my interpretation is incorrect, can you please post the details from the new bill that shows the details of how this works.

If you have Obamacare your contract ends at the end of each year. You have no guarantee of renewal. If your employer decides not to offer insurance anymore (it will not be required anymore of employers with over 50 employees as it is now) you can be denied affordable coverage for existing conditions.

.
My understanding of the GOP plan is that the Pre-Existing condition funding is $180 Billion dollars. ACA only funded $5 Billion with their rollout to cover Pre-Existing condition clients.

$5 Billion vs $180 Billion and the Leftists call that a "failure" and "screwed".
You can't make this stuff up.

A possible death sentence for those of under 65. Will be appealed to the Senate.

I bet the Senate passes it with 51 votes by Mitch McConnell. And with that, Trump owns it. And every sick person that loses coverage, every senior that gets a huge bill can thank Trump. They'll still go to his rallies and wear the MAGA hats. Maybe the MAGA hats can come with two aspirin and a "that's too bad" inscription. They so deserve it. I've never felt less pity for a group of people.
