It was not emotionally damaging in any way. But medical procedures are not generally fun.
The thing that upset me is the girl's mother looks on abortion as a simple solution to an unwanted pregnancy rather than doing her job as a mother and actually teaching the girl some values and actually parenting her.

No she didn't. But in the argument of fake news or not with the OP, maybe laughing was this woman's way of getting through it. People uneducated in such matters can do strange things to those of us who think otherwise.

It's not the women over the child. The woman doesn't die in the child's place.
It's the woman agreeing to kill her child.

Personally, I'm against abortion. I discourage people from getting it. I'm also against all religions. Do you see me lobby to outlaw all religions?
Good comparison. I see it in a similar fashion, myself.

Ahhh. Pro lifers.

Believe in the fetus, death penalty, and allowing poor PEOPLE to die if they can't afford health insurance.

I won't click on any of the OP's links. Ever.

Abortion Rate In U.S. Falls To Lowest Level Since Roe v. Wade : The Two-Way : NPR

The abortion rate in the United States fell to its lowest level since the historic Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalized abortion nationwide, a new report finds.

The report by the Guttmacher Institute, a research group that supports legalized abortion, puts the rate at 14.6 abortions per 1,000 women of childbearing age (ages 15-44) in 2014. That's the lowest recorded rate since the Roe decision in 1973. The abortion rate has been declining for decades — down from a peak of 29.3 in 1980 and 1981.
Don't let facts get in your way. Access to contraception and family planning has led to a decline in abortions. Expect an uptick in abortions when the new laws deny contraception to poor women. Note that Trump's appointees to the health and human services department. Charmaine Yoest thinks that contraception is not effective. Yoest has also questioned whether contraception access reduces the abortion rate, and told the New York Times that she opposes birth control and believes that IUDs "have life-ending properties." Yoest insisted that abortion causes breast cancer, an out-of-nowhere claim disputed by several dozen studies and the top institutions in both cancer research and women’s health. She is anti-science and really against women's reproductive health.

They need to put a giant poster in every clinic showing the development of a baby in the womb. These women have a right and the medical machine has the obligation to make sure the women understand what they are doing just like in any other medical procedure.
I dont agree. An understanding of fetal development isn't the underlying problem. Not understanding reproduction and your own sexuality, not having some self esteem and access to reliable birth control and knowing how to use it is the underlying problem.

It would not surprise me that a woman would consider suicide after it catches up with her what she has done to her own child. If she respected life as something precious, she would not have taken it from her child.

Showing that others regret terminating the life of their child supports the OP as a very viable story.

Must be horrible for those that have aborted their babies to read such things though, maybe that will save a life in the future. Suggest going to youtube and searching for "abortion regret".
These are things each individual must deal with according to their own beliefs and emotions.

Best Argument against “Pro-Choice” and the “Right of Privacy” to kill unborn children:
“You can’t force a surgeon to perform a surgery, but once they’re in the middle of it, they can’t just stop and walk away, letting the person die. Likewise, you can’t force a daycare professional to show up at work, but once she’s there, she can’t just leave the children unattended because she doesn’t want to work anymore - it’s child abandonment. In both case, your action have caused someone to be dependent upon you and you are responsible for that dependent. Pregnancy is no different. The child has a right to your body because you made that child dependent on you.”
- - H.C. Douglas
Once you make a helpless life dependent upon you, you have no choice nor right to terminate it.

Comprehensive sex education? Easy free birth control whether it's condoms, pills or IUDs? Not so many hang-ups about nudity and sex?

I assure you, it does work
