Ttle while certainly won't hurt. The Republicans have nothing to lose by slowing down.

If the bill passes and it's a bad one, the Republicans will get blamed for passing a law even worse than Obamacare and that would be really bad for them. If the bill fails, they will be blamed for jumping the gun again. The only way they win is if they pass a bill that is far better than Obamacare right now, which is very unlikely. They are risking alienating even their own constituents with this approach.
The Senate will do exactly what you wish for - they will slow it all down.

Senate GOP vows big changes for ObamaCare bill |The Hill - May 5, 2017
Senate Republican Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) announced Thursday that there would no “arbitrary deadlines” for the healthcare legislation, setting up an open-ended process.

“We’re going through the issues methodically,” he said. “The House passing the bill gives us a little bit more of a sense of urgency but it’s going to take a while.”

Senate Republicans say the bill in its current form cannot pass, and some of them privately question whether it will ever get a floor vote. There’s also skepticism in the conference that they will be able to cobble together 51 votes behind any plan.

As it stands now - the Republicans "OWN" nothing. ObamaCare as written and passed by Democrats with ZERO votes or input by Republicans is the Law of the Land. It will remain the Law of the Land until Democrats come to the table and work with Republicans.

So ...... exactly what is different today about ObamaCare than a year ago before Donald Trump was elected?
NOTHING - ObamaCare is the Law of the Land, put in place exclusively by the Democrats with ZERO votes from Republicans. ObamaCare is on minimum Life Support - more insurance companies dropped out of Virginia and Iowa yesterday. Humana says they are likely to cease coverage Nationwide.

The Democrats response to that is: Under taunting chants of “Na na na hey hey hey goodbye” by Democratic lawmakers, the final vote to approve the American Health Care Act was cast just as voting closed on the House floor.. That is almost unbelievably childish - these idiots think they have a "Political WIN" and that's all they care about. They don't care about people losing coverage or going broke attempting to pay for their ObamaCare Insurance.

Nancy said we have to "pass the bill to see what is in it" ...... and that's exactly what they did with ZERO Republicans. Obama said "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan - If you like your Doctor, you can keep your Doctor" - That was the LIE of the Year in the Washington Post. Gruber said the public is stupid, so we LIED to them to get them to accept this Insurance.

Pelosi said "Millions will DIE because of this vote in the House" ..... and yet the Vote in the House changed exactly ZERO. The only person who has told the real truth about any of this is Gruber.

It's not President Trump that is hurting those on ObamaCare -- he had ZERO to do with it's passage
It is the Partisan Obstructionism in Washington D.C that is the trouble - the Citizens want it FIXED, that will not happen until they all get to the table. The Obama/Pelosi/Reid Cramdown didn't work - ObamaCare is imploding and time is shorter than the public is aware of.

Insurance Companies will be making their decisions about Plans in the next month or 2 -- RIGHT NOW, Democrats still OWN ObamaCare. They wrote it, they passed on a 100% Partisan Vote.

But there are plenty of hispanic doctors around who do accept Medicare and can better communicate with their spanish-speaking patients, and they are not hard to find.
My PCP doesn't take medicare and they told me it was mainly because of the red tape behind it.

So it is all about you then? You are by far the minority in this discussion.

Just like Social Security means nothing to you because you don't pay into it.

Trump has removed penalties for not joining, pulled advertising, sued over subsidies and is about to remove them. All this adversity has created turmoil in the markets, so stop making believe they have done nothing.

Social security is a fraud. If given the option to pay into it. I would stop paying today.
End the Nanny state. Rely on your own means, not the government/Nanny state and everyone else...

Big pharm would go bankrupt if nobody bought their overpriced toxins who's side effects are usually worse than the ailments that they treat...

Have diabetes? Unless it was hereditary you kind of brought that one on yourself wolfing down fast food and candy. Father had it. He was a gluttonous pig. Dial that insulin pump up and eat away. Fat boy got sicker and sicker... Gee i wonder why your eye balls are deteriorating? Gee I wonder why you have nueropathy and nerve pain? I wonder why your kidneys are failing? Did it to himself. His problem. Not mine. Not yours. If his health insurance provider decided to drop him. That was his problem now wasn't it? He'd have to either suffer without insulin, or adjust his diet riki-tik. Had the chance to long before it caught up with him. Nah. Easier to go ham and do up 300+ units of insulin a day...

Have Blood pressure issues? more than likely how you handle stress and your diet has alot to do with that...

If everyone were to take responsibility for their actions and the government were to be out of the medical field, it would not be an issue...

Drug addiction. That isn't a disease either. Its an epidemic of stupid people, making stupid choices, getting hooked on the poison. It was labeled a disease to remove personal responsibility for ones actions, and to get health insurance to cover the treatment, with facilities and big pharm developing alternatives to become addicted to...
Cigarettes are supposed to be addictive...I can smoke a pack a day for a year put the cigarettes down (have done this before) for months-year. Its called self control.

I don't buy into addiction being a disease. I think its more or less enabling weaklings with a bad habit and no self control.
Had a scumbag cousin who died trying heroin for the first time. Good riddance. Only felt bad for his immediate family. Not him. Didn't go to the wake or funeral either I had no respects to pay to him...
His parents enabled him. Feared his fits of rage when he didn't get "rent money" to cover his Habit

I just want to know how anyone can be okay cutting health insurance to fund tax cuts for the rich? And I say that as someone who will probably benefit from the tax cut.

So . . the Nancy Pelosi comment has been taken out of context for YEARS. You cannot compare 17 months of Obamacare hearings - YES - there were hearings and NUMEROUS changes made to satisfy Republicans AND a CBO score with the travesty that the Republicans just passed. Talk about a CRAMDOWN on a 100% partisan vote. Hell, some republicans wouldn't even vote for it.

If you were watching - many of them admitted on camera that they had not read the bill. They didn't give a tinker's damn what was in it - they wanted a WIN AT ANY COST.

And . . let's take the Democrat response which I wasn't crazy about either. And let's compare that to HAVING A KEGGER on the White House grounds to laugh and celebrate about 24 million people losing healthcare coverage.

Kind of stupid--passing legislation that none of those who voted for it read.

It was crammed through solely for Trump's ego, and he could care less who it affects or how. He has no idea what is in it. Holding a garden party to celebrate legislation passing in one chamber is unheard of and rather stupid, but that simply reflects how desperate Trump & Co. were.

Let's see how many of those sniveling cowards hold meetings with constituents while on recess. They won't be able to defend the bill, because they haven't read it.

Things will get pretty ugly, but highly entertaining.
