It does matter, because honoring a thug sends the wrong message. They guy beat up Zimmerman and tried to kill him. And Zimmerman was not the first guy this little thug beat up. He was proud of beating up people.

He as also a racist and making drugs, but that never stopped the modern-day "progressives" from honoring a black person.
I didn't read the article but on the face of it a college degree doesn't seem the appropriate way to honor a murdered youth. I would expect the family is a bit conflicted over it too, even if they don't say so.
I hear the graduation rate of blacks is improving.
