If I thought for one minute the responses I read on this site were representive of most folks I would blow my brains out. Some of you are just pathetic. Thank god some people in this country still feel compassion for those fleeing unspeakable atrocities. Maybe we all need to experience what these folks have been through. SMH.

If someone outside the Somali community has a case of the measles, it's because they - or worse yet the parents if a child - were so ignorant that they refused to get a measles vaccination. There are something like a few hundred Somalis in Minneapolis - hardly "third-world birth-rates." I bet the good people of Minneapolis would be amazed to hear their city described that way.
If you want third-world, you need look no further than your so-called "true-patriot" (BLECH!) and his determination to take away healthcare from 25 MILLION Americans. Then, you'll get to see what a measles epidemic is really all about.
I mean other then outbreaks of disease like is going on in Minnesota and coming to the United States and having third-world birth-rates what purpose does it serve?
Where in the article did it mention that refugees had anything to do with the outbreak of measles? I remember when people were blaming Obama for the 1 or 2 people who had Ebola and were saying we were all going to die because he wouldn't close the borders.

Did you bother to read the article? Two of the new cases were people who received both recommended doses of the MMR vaccine and, according to the CDC, some who have been inoculated can still become infected, especially in an outbreak. State officials are considering imposing mandatory isolation and quarantine orders on some who have been exposed but are not heeding recommendations to avoid public places.
There are more than a few hundred Somalis in Minneapolis. Feel better after that rant?
They serve the purpose of letting our politicians feel like good humanitarians without having to spend any of their own money to do it. Other than that no purpose.
It gives the left one more opportunity to screetch, "Racist!!!!!" at those of us who don't want them here. They serve no other purpose whatsoever. If you want to take them in, support them out of your own pocket.
