I am not surprised given how unhinged the Dems have been since losing the election. Remember all the crazy attempts to stop him from being inaugurated?

People want change, they want the swamp drained. Any opposition to trump is just swamp creatures bemoaning their pending loss of a feeding trough.

Political change is always disruptive, otherwise poltically promised change is just slight of hand and verbal nuance.

Trump is our only hope.

While I do love swamps and the creatures that live in and around the boggy ground, the dem, repub, media and hangers on need to be banished and their environment destroyed.

Why do you assume that only Ds are involved? The article doesn't say that.

If you think that the GOPe are now suddenly die-hard Trump fans - well, you don't understand people.

In fact, if Trump removal happens, it won't happen w/out significant R support.

Any hope of "draining the swamp" was gone the very first moment Trump put together his cabinet.

Getting rid of Trump would be a good start to accomplishing this. He is a swamp unto himself.

OP, I hope this is for real.

I don't see anything in the article referring to Democrats. You think there aren't Republicans in on these discussions?

Sanity and rationality are not a partisan thing. Trump acts seriously 'off' mentally. Nobody believes he will last 4 years--not even his friends. Why should the entire country and half the world be thrown into disarray caused by one nutjob who is verging on dementia? He is not just a disgrace to the office--his endless need for attention and adulation is exhausting.

Me too.

The Independent has been running a lot of IC related articles. The Five Eyes and all that. Other countries may know more than US citizens about what is going on in our gov't.

Of course it would have to be R's as well. Don't you think most of them would prefer Pence?

No. Most of them would prefer Ryan. But Ryan and pence have failed their oaths of office by not doing anything.
