If it weren't for Reagan we would still have our phones hardwired in our homes and the only carrier would be Ma Bell who had no incentive to create cell phones or skpe. Pay phones owned by the phone company would be your only other option.

True.

The working class dont have the money to compete with the ruling donor class so what people hear, see and read are now a constant barrage of ruling class propaganda. Only 6 corporations own more than 90% of all the media. The working class dont stand a chance against this onslaught of media power.

Liberals are 96% of the media and every story by the Left Stream Media is heavily biased because of it and has been for decades. This has forced Republicans and Conservatives to seek out more fair media outlets like Fox News. I expect this to continue with more conservative media getting into the game in the future.

At least now there's Twitter and Facebook until the Liberal Fascist gain complete control of those and shut down conservative voices. Then conservatives will find competitors....this will happen.

As it is, we have 24 hour propaganda stations, slanted news & bought and paid for opinions.
We all lost because only the wealthy can afford broadcast rights.
Fox is petrified of it ever coming back!
<sigh> Oh, please! "It's Reagan's fault!"

All networks, cable and broadcast should be required to present opposing viewpoints on issues.

New situations require a different kind of regulation.

As it is, wealthy right wing has control over much of the television and radio market and it's nothing but propaganda.

Just fall from the turnip truck? Or congenitally impaired?
Nothing happens at the FCC regarding phones without the instigation of the industry.

Do you have any clue about how much more money the baby bells make off of cell phones? You speak of a time when houses had one landline. Now they have cells, internet and tv and their landlines. That was no accident. DH knew in 1990 landlines would be a thing of the past and we would all have Dick Tracy communicators.

And yeah, Al Gore was instrumental in making the internet available in all American homes.

Yes, we need censorship because the left is losing in the battle of ideas.
