When the sun explodes, but humans won't be around by then anyway.

Ok, November 12th, 1955. A scientist, whose name I can't reveal will time travel back to the aforementioned date. His cohort will end up meeting his future self, which causes a rift in the space time continuum. Another scientist, whose name I also can't reveal, attempts to right what once went wrong. This event, known as the Brown-Beckett Clusterf*** will cause space-time to fold in on itself. Or something like that.
Sounds like the plot of a bad sci-fi series available for bingeing on streaming video, but better than a few I've watched.

The Sun won't Nova, but it will expand as a Red Giant.

You're forgetting the next global cooling cycle which will lead to massive deaths as the Earth returns to where it should be climate-wise:

The glaciation of the Earth will result in massive displacement of people and reduced crop yields.

That's how Earth normally is 80% of the time. 5% of the time, Earth is transitioning into Normal Earth, 5% of the time Earth is transitioning into an Inter-Glacial Period, and 10% of the time, Earth is in an inter-Glacial Period, just like we are now.

Do you think humans will live on earth until the sun explodes? Or will we extinguish our own species beforehand?

So when/how do you think it will all end?
Before President Trump was elected, following the threads on CD,I thought it was going to end in his first 10 days.

our sun will NOT explode, it is too small for that. what it will do though is expand as it uses up its hydrogen and starts converting helium to energy. that will happen in about 2 billion years or so. as the sun grows it becomes a red giant, ultimately expanding out to about the orbit of the earth. the earth may survive this, but it will be a burnt out cinder.

at the end, the suns atmosphere will puff off into a planetary nebula and its core will condense down into a white dwarf star, eventually cooling off and becoming a black dwarf star.

as for man, perhaps by that time we will have figured out how to reasonably safely travel in space, and will have either moved to another solar system, or to space stations in this solar system that orbit jupiter and saturn.

I know. Maybe we're all dead already and we don't know it.
