I like the tax on sugary drinks.

Those drinks are tied to juvenile diabetes and guess who pays when those affected go to the hospital? Yeah, it's a financial decision with me. You want to pollute your body, I don't want to pay for it.

Diet drinks are just as bad. A recent study ties them to early onset dementia. Tax them too!

I just saw that study, too, about diet drinks and dementia.

Yeah, I read the article and it says there's an association with dementia and not any kind of true correlation. Until they have alot more solid evidence, I'll stick with the diet soda!

Never understood the point of diet soda. People drink soda because it tastes good/sweet. But the taste of diet soda is so disgusting and bitter what's the point. You want to go on a diet there are far healthier options such as water, which unlike diet soda doesn't taste like p*ss mixed with vomit.

Caffeine.

If you get diet soda with caffeine you're getting your fix.

I like the taste of diet. Its not as sweet as regular soda. For years I thought the same as you. Then I started drinking diet and then never went back.

What turned me off of diet soda was seeing someone close to me break their femur...largest, strongest bone in the body. Didn't make sense till I looked into it further and found diet soda leeches calcium from the body. You are literally making your bones brittle. (this person was good for 1-3 sodas per day).
So, yes, tax diet soda too. I don't want to pay for other peoples suicide.

Yes! Tax everything! Sugar, fat, margarine, beer, orange juice, jogging shoes, fishing poles, cars, bicycles, etc.

I don't want to pay for anything anybody does. So let's just tax everything that might harm somebody and then we will all live forever with no health problems.
