I wrote earlier Wednesday that the White House's explanations for firing James Comey were crumbling. Well, President Trump just exploded them.
In one fell swoop, Trump totally contradicted his three top spokespeople and offered a polar-opposite version of events than they have this week.
After they had spent the past 45 hours emphasizing that this was a decision Trump arrived at after receiving a memo and recommendation from Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, Trump just blurted out that he was going to fire Comey all along. Basically, he admitted the memo was a ruse and a political ploy. The Russia story is real. Real FBI agents are investigating. The Senate is issuing real subpoenas.
Trump just lied by saying in his letter to Comey saying that Comey assured him 3 times Trump was not under investigation. Comey would not give Trump the satisfaction of publicly stating that Trump was not personally under investigation and that the Russia story is hoax, so Trump stated it himself. This will be his undoing.
Comey already proved to me he talks out of both sides of his mouth.
Trump thought he should have been fired in July 2016, after having all the goods on Hillary and then blowing it for justice and the worry about being the guy that electing Donald Trump.
Or like this one...how does that fit in with Trump saying that he thought Comey had made a tough decision, but the right one?
Or when Trump said that sounded good on the campaign trail but wasnt relevant.

So you thought Trump was just going about his day, satisfied with Comey, until he saw the memo from Rosenstein, and then just fired Comey on impulse?
I don't remember a timeline for Clinton but no one seemed to care. How would anyone know how long it would take to investigate anything?
The reason for that is the Clintons kept delaying the process. Buy not surrendering documents until the deadline, for example.
