If Trump's approval rating dropped to 15%..he would still be President--while the election is a popularity contest..once you're in office...why does it even matter that most of the people loath you?

It seems that the polls only matter to the fans..of both sides...as some sort of 'validation'.

I would like to see the poll broken down based on party and state. Trump should be concern if he is losing support among his supporters. Given that Hillary won the popular vote, it's expected that Trump would not poll very well if a poll is not broken up by states and party affiliation. If the poll is broken down based on party affiliation and states, then you will probably get a similar result as in the election. That is why these polls are rather meaningless. If the polls showed Trump losing support among the people who voted for him, then we wouldn't have national polls and instead regional polls by state that show Trump losing support. Instead we get nationals polls that favor liberal agenda. That is why I don't take these polls very serious. We already know liberals and democrats don't support Trump, which is what these polls for the most part show. What these polls don't show is if Trump supports are abandoning him.

Where did you get this "fact"?

Obama's approval bottomed out in the high 30s to low 40s in 2011 depending on the poll. Against the backdrop of the economy at that time, that isn't surprising. He left office on a high note.

What was the pollster; Rasmussen?
I think the poster is mistakenly attributing congressional numbers with Obamas.

Obamas approval rating never went as low as Trumps. And when they were low the Democrats had a bloodbath in the midterms. Expect the same. 2018 will be interesting. Because Trump is pulling the GOP down with him.

I agree. Let's get an independent commission and a special prosecutor and get going on it.

You're right. Some people will never be happy, no matter who is president.

What matters most is that Clinton and her commie friends will have no power for the next 4 years.
