Do we need to dig up that thread about Asians cheating on their college entrance exams and feeling entitled to spots? And most of these Ivy League don't go purely based off grades. Sometimes they are going for dynamic people, not just people who are good at standardized tests. But yeah this is what true "entitlement" is...thinking your crap doesn't stink and expecting guaranteed spots somewhere.

Since when did Torrance become a foreign city? That's Lin's hometown.

Thanks OP!
With their general attitude towards academic excellence, I always wondered how come so many blacks have made it to Harvard and many, many super smart Asian kids couldn't. *Kwasi Enin* was one exceptional example but I would call him an immigrant rather than a typical hood raised black. And he chose Yale anyway.

Well, this is what happens when ghetto gets in, when you let it get in with racist admission policy. I don't think I have ever seen any Asian Student doing this at elite institutions.

It's foolish to post made up numbers like this. The real numbers are just a few clicks away.

nice try.

anyways, perhaps he should focus on ending the cheating that his fellows Asians are constantly doing so that people like him can earn those spots honestly. There are your extra spots. Don't come for other races when you're the subject of many investigations on cheating. Not a good look.

Also, they can stop trying to compare Asian history in this country to blacks on an apples to apple level. Make your point without bringing us up.

If Asians, whites, blacks and Hispanics were all treating equally on their applications, in other words if applications to Harvard were colour-blind, the student body would be majority Asian, some whites and then much less Hispanics and blacks.
So he's in the same position as whites have been for years and years--big deal. Just Asians learning how to play the race card to their benefit.

No, they aren't. Asians have not had hundreds of years of affirmative action.

The point is that college kids all do stupid stuff, regardless of whether it's an Ivy, SEC, ACC or any other conference. If Lin played in the Big Ten, he probably still would have caught a lot of crap.
