I said nothing of the sort.

Was it Gowdy's sole responsibility to remedy the problem? Gowdy led an effective investigation (and to my knowledge, it isn't over).
It is over and Gowdy allowed Lerner to slide. She should be behind bars.

The waste of money is the current investigation into alleged Russian interference in the election and alleged Trump collusion with Russian operatives, with zero evidence found thus far, no evidence to support the allegations in the first place, but ordered by an outgoing President to help Hillary, who made the charge during her failing campaign, hoping to discredit her opponent. But you're totally on-board with that, I assume?
If you want to change the subject, fine. You don't make your point when you do that. Gowdy wasted millions of dollars on the IRS investigation and does not deserve another chance.

Gowdy is anything but a political "hack."

But, what was Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, and as it turns out, James Comey? Obviously, they were picked on the basis of their politics. Obama's justice Department was the most political and corrupt in U.S. History, and the least trusted because of it. And Lynch meeting with former President Clinton on the tarmac while Hillary was under investigation was a perfect example of this corruption and politicization.

As Gowdy has said himself, Congress is ill equipped to do investigations and cant prosecute anyone, making him the head of the law enforcement of the US he really could get some things done, granted those would be some seriously big shoes to fill in the House.

That maybe your opinion but in 9 congressional hearings he failed to pin anything on Hillary Clinton regarding the Benghazi affair. In my opinion Gowdy is too politically biased for the job.

They pinned a lot on Hillary, they simply did nothing about it because they didn't actually try. It would have been easy to have nailed her for perjury if they had any actual desire to do anything but raise campaign cash.

Anyone the president picks will be blocked by the Democrats unless they swear to not indict Hillary.

Gowdy is all theatre and has not had success with any of this past administration's scandals. We need someone outside of the beltway.
