Anyone who pays FICA taxes (which undocumented immigrant workers do pay, by the way) contributes to the Social Security Trust Fund. America's current working population subsidizes America's current retired and other Social Security recipient population. Ergo, undocumented immigrants contribute to the Social Security benefits that American retirees are entitled to - but which undocumented immigrants are very much not entitled to and indeed, never receive.
No such thing as an undocumented worker they are illegal aliens. Those who are on a payroll had to have used a fake or stolen SS number and that's a felony! So, we should be grateful for having our jobs stolen because they are paying into SS? WTH? Who cares if they can't collect taxes from their illegally obtained job? That's like feeling sorry for the bank robber if he can't spend his ill gotten booty because the money is marked.
Immigration reform is not needed. There is already a pathway to emigrate legally into the US. The problem almost all of the illegal aliens would not qualify and there's a good reason for that: no country in the world wants a large influx of poor unskilled uneducated people. For example, Mexico does not want illegal aliens from Central and South America, they have strict immigration laws. There's nothing racist or xenophobic about it.
You're also it looking at the bigger picture. Illegal aliens are poor, violate laws (besides entering a country illegally) such as using garages as dwellings, stealing identify and using benefits meant for citizens. They also send money out of the US. It's a burden on our our citizens.
I am also a naturalized citizen and it is a slap to the face to those that wait years to legally emigrate. You want to wave magic wand and make the legal, what do you think will happen after that? What message does that send? There will be another 11 million right behind them waiting for the next magic wand.
Politicians want these poors on the government teet as they will be life time Democrats.
