They need the Rust Belt. The inverse is not true.
Trump won by flipping states that voted for Obama. Results better be produced or they'll be flipped back as the margin won by in those states weren't very large.

Rural Americans care about ending abortion, keeping their guns, school prayer, and going after terrorists in every corner of the Earth. Give them that, and you can have your way with them.

So yeah, they're losing, but they don't care anyway. So let them be.
And then you lose my support.

What is it you think rural America would win? What are they losing? Your assuming the TTP was a positive thing, your assuming farmers are struggling because of an article yet there are no supporting facts, there is economist opinion that TTP has a negative effect and realistically withdrawing from TTP just happened so there has been no time for farmers to struggle because of it.
The drug policy. No one is losing or suffering because of it. We will see how the new federal policy affects the drug problem in KY and WV. States BTW that dont even rank in the top 10 for drug problems and addiction. Although the official report by CDC wont be out until December, preliminary numbers show and increase in drug related deaths since Obama's drug policy was enforced.

As far as health care there are now those who cant afford premiums, those without insurance or insurance not meeting Obamacare standards that are paying fines (still uninsured).
So I'm not sure what it is people think "rural" voters are losing or how they are suffering?

And now, the White House has decided to pull the plug on farm price supports and cap insurance payouts, as well as introducing new fees to pay for the USDA.

It would appear the Republicans (or at least the White House) is abandoning farmers. I was rather surprised to see it given Pence's home state.

Never trust a NYC Republican I guess.
