The Senate is not going to do anything because, Republicans again.
Trump will fire anyone who dare investigate him; heck he will fire anyone who won't pledge allegiance to him.
Special prosecutor? Ha! It is appointed by the Attorney General and guess who that is? Yeah, Jeff "I am with Trump" Session. So there's that.
So what can Americans do to bring a criminal to justice when that criminal sits in the highest office and has the power to squash any attempt for law and justice?

and good grief we had a president that committed perjury and democrats decided there was nothing wrong with perjury so why are you whining now?
Flipping the House and Senate to Dem in 2018 is really the only effective way to deal with Trump. He will have a full on meltdown if the Dems control Congress. Does anyone really think that Trump could handle the scrutiny of a Democratic Congress? Just one Benghazi style hearing would be enough to make him flee back to Trump Tower. He would do his next SOTU address naked through the door to his apartment, Howard Hughes style.
Unfortunately, it will be next to impossible to flip the House due to the gerrymandering by the Republicans.
Trump himself admitted to obstruction of justice on national TV and the head of the FBI wrote a memo detailing Trump's obstruction of justice action in his presence.
As evidence goes, you seldom get more solid than that.
