Yeah, I am aware of his Executive orders and IF these things turn into something good, then I applaud that. Again, Pence and the GOP could do the exact same things. I am also aware of the way he is flailing about, creating drama and failing to produce the leadership (or work) to address major legislation.
And I have zero respect for a rich billionaire, who has led a privileged life and created a very adversarial relationship with everyone , including his own party, and wants to portray himself as a victim. Major red flag for mental health issues! He actually thought that people would forget all the promises and taunts he has projected? He spend 8 years making up stories about Obama's birth certificate and now the pot is calling the kettle black? Welcome the the world you created Donald! Didn't see it coming? Another sign of cluelessness.
Based on the health care plan in congress, this is a complete lie:
' “So — and we’re going to have — you know, we have to cover people that can’t afford it. And that’s what I’m talking about. And we’ll probably have block grants of Medicaid back into the states. And we’ll do things — because there are people that can’t afford it. And nobody is going to be dying on the streets with a President Trump,” he promised.'
Regarding his veterans policies:
President Donald Trump's Moves Could Hurt Veterans' Health | Money
' Veterans
voted for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton by a 2-to-1 margin back in November. But a couple of changes that the new administration has underway are likely to put a particular squeeze on former service members' health care.
One particular flashpoint is at the Department of Veterans Affairs. When President Trump made good on his campaign promise last week to freeze federal hiring, the move included thousands of open positions at the VA system -- including hundreds of nurses and doctors, according to
USA Today.
Trump's press secretary, Sean Spicer,
told reporters last week that at "the VA in particular ... hiring more people isn’t the answer, it's hiring the right people." But David Shulkin, Trump's nominee to head the department, has said
in the past the agency needs to fill its thousands of open positions in order to improve the inadequate care and long wait times that have plagued the department for years.
Other analysts agree. A hiring freeze will "just exacerbate the problems they already have," says Carrie Farmer, a health policy researcher at the RAND Corporation. '
What "red tape" has Trump eliminated? Be specific. In fact start a new thread with all the details of this, so everyone can know.
